 A Five-Star Trek
With good weather, an experienced and friendly guide, two charming female porters, and arrangements that saw to every detail, I can't imagine a more perfect Himalayan trek.  I must admit that, as a seventy-year-old, the highlight may well have been reaching the final lunch stop with all limbs still functioning relatively painlessly.  

Owners and operators Lhakpa and Doma couldn't have been more helpful.  Their travel and accommodation arrangements went without a hitch; and when our luggage failed to arrive in Kathmandu, they helped us with shopping and loaned us hiking poles.  A well-organized hike of the Ghorepani/PoonHill Circuit.
Khumbu Adventures (owned and operated by husband Lhakpa and wife Doma) organized our five day hike of the Ghorepani/Poon Hill Circuit in November 2019. They did a superb job. The arrangements were made and executed in the manner in which you would expect if, for example, your best friend happened to live in Kathmandu and had invited you to visit Nepal and hike with them. 

They offered to pick us up at Kathmandu Airport upon our arrival in Nepal, they met us at our Kathmandu hotel later that day to brief us concerning the hike, they went shopping with us to buy needed items that were in our delayed luggage, they picked us up at our hotel the next morning and checked us in for our domestic flight to Pokhara, took a photo of the three of us and texted it to our guide who would meet us when we deplaned. And so on.  They had arranged and paid for all hiking permits which is not a small task.  They provided us with a first aid kit and, believe it or not, a french press and a large supply of excellent ground coffee.

In each of the four nights in the mountains they had arranged the best accommodation available in each village and, as somewhat of a litmus test of the overall experience which they clearly wished to deliver, they arranged accommodation on the fifth night at a lovely lakeside resort in Pokhara. The resort, for which they paid as they did for all other accommodations, was of a higher quality than we had anticipated and thus more expensive from their perspective than was required. But that characterizes our entire Khumbu Adventures experience; expectations always exceeded.

Our Guide Raju and our porters Laxmi and Russa were unfailingly capable, personable and accommodating.  They added greatly to our enjoyment of the hike.

On the final day, Raju picked us up at the Pokhara resort and checked us in for our return flight to Kathmandu where we were again met by Lhakpa and Doma and redelivered to our hotel.  

A start-to-finish turnkey operation. And for a reasonable price given all the costs which they absorbed.

Lhakpa and Doma supported our trek to EBC and Annapurna. I highly recommend their trekking company.  Very professional and attentive to detail, if you are thinking of trekking in Nepal Khumbu Adventures are a great choice. They are available on phone or Viber to assist with any questions along the trek. All details were attended to. Our Sherpa guide was very skilful and  helpful. A very kind and gentle man.  Kathmandu to Base Camp and Back
Lhakpa and Doma put together an AMAZING trip for 10 of us.  Every step of our 100 mile trek was guided by talented, personable, kind and very knowledgeable Sherpa.  Cannot say enough good things about our accommodations and food.  Khumbu Adventures attention to detail kept us all safe and confident.  The price of our trip was VERY affordable.  Kathmandu to Base Camp Trek
Khumbu Adventures is the only way to go. We trekked from Kathmandu to Base camp and they took care of us from landing to take off.  Trek to Everest Base Camp
We were very happy with porter guide arranged by Doma. Basanta was happy easy going, taught me some Nepalese and pulled me up the last few boulders to the top of  Kala Pattar. Made the trek easier and a more enriching experience. Lhakpa was able to offer great advice for our itinerary in Kathmandu. Doma did a great job organising TIMS card and our flights to Lukla. Very happy and very nice people. We wish you the best of luck with your business and pray for a good season for Nepal in 2016. Our best wishes to You both and of course Basanta.  Trek to Everest Base Camp in a Trailrider

Our accommodations were well taken care of, all of our needs were met, and all of the staff are eager to make your trip fabulous.
